* Martha attended the Friends of the Bryan/College Station Library System Book and Author Luncheon on April 26, 2003. The 100th anniversary of the Carnegie Library in Bryan was celebrated.

* City of Bones was again taught as part of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Literature course at Texas A&M University in the Fall 02 semester and Martha spoke to the class and answered questions.

*Martha was Guest of Honor at ArmadilloCon 24, in Austin, Texas, August 16-18, 2002.

*Martha spoke at The First Annual Bee Book Bonanza, a fundraiser for the non-profit Joe Barnhart Bee County Library on June 8, 2002.

*Wheel of the Infinite was discussed at the April 7, 2002, meeting of the FACT (Fandom Association of Central Texas) reading group.

*There was a feature on Wheel of the Infinite at the Eos section of the HarperCollins web site.

*January 29, 2000, 4-8pm EST. Martha was a guest at EosCon II, the online convention sponsored by Avon Eos.

*The Death of the Necromancer was discussed at the September 21, 1999, meeting of the FACT (Fandom Association of Central Texas) reading group.

*City of Bones was taught as part of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Literature course at Texas A&M University in the Fall 98 semester. It is one of two recent novels taught in the course. The other is Hyperion by Dan Simmons.

* The French edition of The Element of Fire ("Le feu primordial ", l'Atalante) was nominated for the Second Annual Imaginales Award given out at the Imaginales Festival in Epinal, France, May 2003. Artist Gilles Francescano has also been nominated for the cover art. Other Nominees in the Novel category were American Gods by Neil Gaiman, La mort d'Ayesha by Ange, Abarat by Clive Barker, and Le pas de Merlin by Jean-Lous Fetjaine.

* RevolutionSF featured Martha's short story "Bad Medicine" in March 2003.

* Insite Magazine, a local Brazos Valley magazine, mentioned Martha and reviewed Wheel of the Infinite in a December 2002 article on local authors by Lizette Resendez.

*The French edition of The Death of the Necromancer ("La mort du necromant", l'Atalante) was nominated for the First Annual Imaginales Award given out at the Imaginales Festival (May 23-26, 2002) held in Epinal, France. Artist Gilles Francescano was also nominated for the cover illustration for La mort du necromant.

*The Death of the Necromancer was a 1998 Nebula Nominee for Best Novel. The other nominees were The Last Hawk by Catherine Asaro, Moonfall by Jack McDevitt, How Few Remain by Harry Turtledove, To Say Nothing of the Dog by Connie Willis and the winner was Forever Peace by Joe Haldeman.

*The Death of the Necromancer is on Library Journal's Best Genre Fiction of 1998 List. The other SF/F titles on the list are Diaspora by Greg Egan, Newton's Cannon by J. Gregory Keyes, Legends: Short Novels by the Masters of Modern Fantasy edited by Robert Silverberg, and Children of God by Maria Doria Russell.

*The Death of the Necromancer was reviewed on the September edition of SFRevu. Note that The Element of Fire takes place about 100 years before The Death of the Necromancer, not a few years after it.

*The Death of the Necromancer is a featured alternate selection in the October 1998 brochure of the Science Fiction Book Club.
